Kitchen colors and shark bite!

So I have been told to put some colors on these drab walls.  Here are the kitchen colors:

 

Someone was also asking about sharkbites.

Paint, paint and more paint!

Got to painting today.  Jeff finished the bathroom paint and also put the trim in.   Paint is yellow trim is white.
I finished above the cabinets and got 1 wall done in the kitchen.  Here are some pics.

Oh my aching back.

Today I finished the cabinets!!!!  I had to make some shelf supports so I got that done.  Then I took the border off.  After that I scraped the walls, washed them and, spackled and sanded them too.   Taped off the cabintes and ready for paint!

 

  

 

I wanted to do something fun so.....

 

  

The floor will cover it up. 

Jeff got his walls done in the bathroom and that is ready for paint too.  He cut and painted all the trim so that is ready too.  

  

 

We got 8 hours in today, so it was a good day.  We are going back tomorrow because we skipped a day yesterday so we would be there today when a roof company was supposed to come, but, no show.  Maybe it was from the snow?????

So last night and this morning I did a wee bit of internet shopping....I love shopping.  Anyway, last night I bought the new Shower Rod set and this morning I bought the Kitchen Lighting!

Here they are...

 

Chrome finish on this.
 

Kitchen light.  It is 4 ft. long with a Satin nickel finish.  All lights in our house will have CFL lighting.  We are making the whole house energy efficient. 

 

Light over kitchen sink.  Satin nickel also.  

Will start prepping the walls for paint and get those lights installed this week.  Can't wait!

Lights on nobodys home.....

So today went well.  Jeff got the light in.  He had to rewire in the bathroom to move an outlet and raise the light fixture.  He only got zapped once....

 

The outlet is to the right in the pic.  It was hidden behind the mirror before.  Can you say hillbilly????

I finished cleaning the cabinets finally!  Took me 4 days.  They were so nasty and caked with grease and grime.  Had to scrape them with a razor blade and screwdriver. 

I also lined all the cabinets and drawers with the rubber non adhesive liner.

Jeff took the range hood off too. 

 

 

It was a very productive day indeed.  Next time I will get the cabinets all stained and they will be done!  Then I move on to prepping the walls for paint.  Jeff is prepping the bathroom walls and such.  He has new trim to paint and cut too.

Let there be light

We went to Home Depot today and bought this light for the bathroom. Yeah!

We will get to work on installing it tomorrow. We got our first estimate for the roof: 3 tab asphalt shingle replacement is $3780 for 19 squares. That's it for now.

Long Time Gone...

So ya'll know I have been sick and Jeff has been going over to the house by himself, working on the bathroom still.  I finally went over Thursday and started cleaning the gunk off the kitchen cabinets.  We are going back over today to do some more work and cleaning.  We are also going to get the carpet out of the living room and hall.  I only have a couple of new pics, so here they are....

 

New floor and toilet in.

Jeff also took some pics of the outside with the new fascia boards on and slipped some pics of his awesome car in there....lol
