The walls come crumbling down.

The shed Had To Go!  It was already falling apart so the job was done.  Jeff and a friend of his took the rest of it down and hauled it off to scrap for some dough.  They got quite a bit.

Then the land had to be cleared around it.

Had to burn the brush and my old KITCHEN TABLE that fell off the load when we moved here last year.  If you look real close you can see a leg.

Jeff bought plans online for an 8 x8 wood shed and is working off that.

He is now starting on the roof.  He went to get the lumber for that this morning.

Luckily, the Building Supply Store is right outside the subdivision so it is not a far ride with the big pieces hanging out the back of the Mountaineer.   Looking good hon!
Will keep you posted on his progress.

Hoping to start a new blog soon...

I am going to work on a new style blog....stay tuned for more.

Get to work!

Wow, seems like forever ago that I posted on here.  Was busy with all that holiday/company/eating thing that goes on from October through January.  Just doing little things in the house.  Still organizing and unpacking/moving things around to go where I like them.
Jeff still asks where stuff goes, mostly in the kitchen...surprise, surprise.  That is a joke in our house.  It takes him at least a year to figure out where things go in that room.

It is now time to start getting out in the yard.  YAY!!  This place needs the landscaping done already.   I need to move a lot of plants and bushes around, but pretty much have all the plants I need here (except for the annuals).
Stay tuned through the spring to see the outside transformation...

Let there be light.

Jeff put the kitchen light up yesterday, we have been eating in the dark....j/k.
The wiring was wrong up in the ceiling, so he had to fix that.  After figuring out with his meter which wire was supposed to be connected to the other (it was not wired right previously-the switch did not work with that light) so the switch would turn the light on, it now works!!!

I love this light!!  It goes perfect with the decor I have picked for this room.
Next on the agenda is the light for the Master Bdrm.....

Until the next post...

Micro up.

Got the microwave up this weekend.  We had to take down the existing cabinet, which was 18" h and replace with a 15" h because the microwave would have sit too low over the stove.  This is what it looked like before we started on the kitchen.  Jeff took out the range hood and the cabinet...

We thought it vented up to the roof....no hole here.  It was venting up to the space above the cabinets....wow.

Jeff put the new cabinet up and ran the electric through there.

Now we had to get the mounting holes in....with the templates they provided.  That was a joke.  It did not take into account our style of cabinet.  Jeff figured it out :-D .  He always does.
Now to put the mounting bracket up.
Check.   Then he drilled the holes in the cabinet to put the top bolts in.  Then it could go up.
Voila!
Mission REALLY accomplished....
It took about 7 hours to do it.

So here is before:
and after....
Total transformation.

Appliances!!!

I know I am late in getting these up....

Still have lots of small stuff to do in here.  I can devote more of my time to get er done!!!

We are not really done.....

Here is the cabinet we got to put over the microwave.  The existing cabinet is too low, therefore the microwave will be too close to the stove.
Just need to stain and then Jeff can put it, and the microwave, in.
Will post more as we finish up the inside.
